Pleasant Hill Lake is an 850-acre reservoir in Ashland and Richland counties, situated at the gateway to the Mohican State Park area. The lake's significant depth of 56 feet and clear water create ideal conditions for saugeye and musky, and the surrounding forested hills make it one of the most scenic small lakes in Ohio. The Mohican region's reputation as a canoeing and outdoor recreation hub brings visitors from across the state.

Saugeye are the primary predator species, stocked regularly and growing well in the clear, deep water. The musky fishery adds an element of trophy potential, with fish exceeding 40 inches caught by dedicated anglers working the rocky points and weed lines.
