Lake Ogallala is a small but highly productive tailwater lake situated directly below Kingsley Dam at the base of Lake McConaughy. The lake's compact 320 acres concentrate fish and create outstanding catch rates for anglers of all skill levels.

Despite its small size, Lake Ogallala provides good boat access with a public ramp, though many anglers prefer fishing from shore along the dam face and outlet channel.
