Center Hill Lake is an 18,220-acre U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the Caney Fork River in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee, spanning five counties with 415 miles of shoreline and depths reaching an impressive 175 feet. This deep, clear-water lake sits in the Highland Rim region east of Nashville and is known for its excellent water quality, dramatic limestone bluffs, and outstanding multi-species fishing that draws anglers year-round. The town of Smithville serves as the primary gateway to the lake, with Silver Point and Lancaster providing additional access to the upper reaches.

Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass both thrive at Center Hill Lake, with Smallmouths favoring the main lake's rocky bluffs and points while Largemouths concentrate in the creek arms and shallow coves. Walleye fishing is exceptional, particularly during late winter and early spring when these fish move shallow to spawn along gravel banks and rocky shorelines. Striped Bass provide thrilling open-water action when they push threadfin shad to the surface during the summer and fall months. Crappie and Catfish round out the diverse fishery, with Crappie fishing particularly productive in the spring around submerged brush and standing timber.
