About Georgetown Lake
Georgetown Lake is a high-altitude reservoir at 6,330 feet in the Flint Creek Range of southwestern Montana. The lake is renowned for producing large rainbow trout and supporting a rare population of Arctic grayling.
Rainbow trout exceeding 20 inches are common, with the lake's prolific insect hatches providing outstanding dry-fly fishing. Kokanee salmon offer exciting fishing during their fall spawning run. The Arctic grayling population makes Georgetown one of the few places in the lower 48 where this species can be caught. A boat launch on the west shore provides the primary access.
Nearest towns: Anaconda, Philipsburg, Drummond
