Lake Blue Ridge is a 3,290-acre mountain lake in Fannin County, renowned as one of Georgia's premier walleye fisheries. With 65 miles of shoreline and depths reaching 160 feet, the lake sits at an elevation that keeps its water cool and clear — ideal conditions for walleye, which are stocked annually by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Spring and fall trolling along the lake's main channel produces walleye that regularly exceed five pounds.

Beyond walleye, the lake supports healthy populations of largemouth and spotted bass in its rocky coves and along wooded shorelines. Rainbow trout are found in the deeper sections and near the dam. Crappie and bream provide excellent panfishing opportunities in the creek arms during warmer months. The lake's clear water and mountain scenery enhance every fishing trip.
