Alabama's Gulf Coast stretches along 60 miles of Baldwin County shoreline, anchored by the popular beach communities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. This stretch of coastline offers some of the finest saltwater fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, with easy access to both inshore and offshore fisheries. The area's extensive network of artificial reefs — one of the largest programs in the country — creates exceptional habitat for red snapper, triggerfish, and other reef species.

Inshore fishing around the pass, back bays, and coastal lagoons produces consistent catches of redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. Offshore, the Continental Shelf drops within reach of charter boats, putting anglers on king mackerel, cobia, mahi-mahi, and trophy-class red snapper. The annual red snapper season is a celebrated event that draws thousands of anglers to the Alabama coast.

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach offer a full slate of charter services, public boat ramps, and fishing piers. The Wharf Marina in Orange Beach serves as a major hub for offshore charter operations. Fort Morgan, at the tip of the peninsula, provides additional access to both Gulf waters and the mouth of Mobile Bay.
